The Emerging Waves of Research on China's Authoritarian System

The next wave of research is going to have to grapple with how do we get here? I think it's a different paradox. The regime as a whole remains resilient, but within this, this regime that so far as we've been fairly stable through event dramatic political chefs. So I think that's one big thing to unpack. We don't know what happens, but like you literally let off the stage, it's seeming to usher out this era of institutionalization.
