Microsoft exec Scott Guthrie was tapped by Steve Balmer to lead their cloud computing service called Azure. He realized that customers appreciated the technology, but it wasn't very customer friendly. So he challenged his new team to build an app usingAzure just like one of their customers might have to do. Some couldn't figure out how to use certain features; at least one team couldn't even sign up. That was the moment of getting them to trip over the truth. And once they had, they had that emotional willingness to change.
