Is the Will Moved of Necessity?
In Primus Kunde-Pars, St. Thomas asks whether the will is moved of necessity by God. The answer has to do with divine omnipotence and divine simplicity, he says. So if God moves the will to anything, it will follow infallibly that it will happen,. But that something happens infallibly does not mean that it happens necessarily.
