Story Is a Social Event

Kenda: Tell me about people reacting more powerfully as part of an audience. People react less powerfully to the same story when that story is being told one on one. We definitely are influence, or our interpretation ofa experience is influenced by those around us. Amplify your reaction to the story if you perceive that your reaction matches that of the majority of the crowd around you. If you perceive otherwise, it tends to diminish and reduce the emotional component of a resolt. That's what narrative stories do.
