The Dilemma of the President and the Federal Reserve
The president is virtuous in his resistance to the banking branch, so he weakens the bankers and the financiers, strengthens the money. The only way to weaken the bank is to strengthen the government, because he used the power of the government to fight the bank. Trample over constitutional rights? It's debatable whether you ever had your constitutional rights. But when Roosevelt sees your goal, that was not constitutional. If you were a Japanese American intern during World War II, it doesn't feel very constitutional to me.
