How to Write a Book About Music

I almost wrote a letter to the New Yorker when they published a story by Stephen King because it was so awful. Do you read books about music or bios of musicians? There's two that will come to mind and they're both rocker-beathery. Nick Tosses on Jeleri Lidius,. Hellfire and Peter Koronik's Elvis bio, which is unbelievably great. And of course, that's your bangs, just writing. That's how I think.
