The Pew Research Trust and Benton Institute have done a lot of research on the digital divide here in the US. Some of the biggest broadband deserts can be in urban communities where it's like the cell phone plan available. The Salt Lake City justice court is building some kiosks they took over a courtroom to address these issues.
