Writing a Romance

Eva: Secondary characters allow for subplots and subplots help move the action forward when your main character's plot perhaps is getting a bit of a lull. So then the secondary characters sort of plot can come to the fore, which keeps readers turning pages. Eva: Was it difficult to write chemistry between the two main characters, Ethan and Gray? Did you have to think of perhaps the celebrity crush, your fiance, or can you tell us a little bit about that? "I feel like it's just about creating the characters in a way that you understand sort of what they like about each other," she says.
