The Importance of Connection in Theater

I've had fans come and say, thank you for writing a lontress in which people have this chronic pain. I know it's obviously a metaphor for cancer and I was going through cancer at the time, to which I'm like, wow. I'm so glad my book helped you. Yeah. And recognizing that what they want is for someone to understand that they connected with it deeply and they assume that you as the creator have connected with it as deeply as they do or sometimes that is not true.
