The Breakthrough Star Shot

Stephen Hawking and Yuri Milner are involved in the Breakthrough Star Shot. The concept is to create a swarm of these tiny little spaceships that are measured in centimeters across each one with a light sale of about sort of four meters in size. And then you open up these sails and then you fire these incredibly, incredibly powerful lasers at these light sails. You send off all of these, this swarm of thousands and thousands of spacecraft at speeds of about, I think it's 10 or 20 percent the speed of light.
