The Role of the Husband in the Household

Paul was redefining the role of the male in the household as being a sacrificial and empowering role. The husband lays down his life for his wife but also is the cornerstone so he it's like in him everything holds together. In Paul's view they were called as Christian men to exercise that in a particular way which was as one who empowers by sacrificing.
