I didn't feel like I was being listened to when I would stand up at school board meetings and speak for my three minutes. Amy also spoke up at another school board meeting about critical race theory. She worried that would include materials from the New York Times 1619 project. And then there was this one book in particular that really bothered her, it was being used at the school approved social justice club. It was this book is anti-racist, and it had clear CRT ideals in that book.
