The Importance of Paris in Philosophy
Yum is arguably the most influential philosopher in my own personal career in philosophy. And one thing that has never been clear to me is why exactly did he leave Paris or did he not go back to Paris? Because as you just described, both Edinburgh and London were not particularly hospitable places for him. He was urged to stay by a number of his friends among the philosoph people like Jean-Dallambaire,. Denis Dees Rów, also urged him to stay. But Eun didn't, I think at the end of the day, he preferred to wax nostalgic about Paris, then live in Paris.
