The Importance of Peer Learning in Philanthropy

The power dynamics are quite different from the advisors that you talk to. Many of them make active efforts to build those sorts of networks as part of what they do so they've got a kind of convening role as well. Peer learning and peer support which I think is really positive if you think of some of the scrutiny that donors and philanthropists are under then actually having that space is important. You don't want to just create a kind of safe echo chamber but there's also a need for other information and other voices to be heard to influence their decisions, she says.
