Is There a Relationship Between Finance and Inflation?

There's a lot of evidence that finance has a much more complicated relationship to inflation than it had in the past, right? Historically, finance was kind of at the center of sound money politics of anti inflation politics. What's interesting today is for a number of reasons, finance seems to be less sort of monomaniacally hawkish and less anti inflation.
