The Relationship Between Bessel and Ulcoma

I couldn't help but think of all the divided cities in our world, and the peculiar conditions these cities create. I'm always uncomfortable with kind of narrowly allegorical readings of any book,. frankly, but certainly of my own books. The borders between Bessel and Alcoma are not in fact a kind of fantastic imagination. They're the everyday logic of our borders slightly exaggerated. You know, that 10 feet may be arbitrary, but if you're on the wrong side of it, you can end up dead - they will kill you.
