What Is Reduplication?

In Proto-Indo-European, they derived state of verbs with reduplication and that is what became in later Sanskrit and Greek the perfect. The old English only had retained a little wisps of reduplication in one dialect and certain poetic forms. You can use reduplication for lexical derivation of various kinds. Some of it's pretty iconic, intense things like break and smash.
