Why People Don't Do Their Due Diligence
There is this widespread fear of missing out that you think would not reach into the levels of the most sophisticated investors, but it absolutely does. Men in particular fall victim to this more often than women do because smart men can't bear to be thought of as not smart. And then there's another thing that I think is an interesting phenomenon, which is due diligence by proxy - people look at something and say, oh, XYZ smart investors signed off on this. Why do I have to do my homework?
