School Closures Are Worse in Middle Income Countries Than Poor Countries
In most rich country, school closures were kept short. But many middle income countries did a much worse job of providing distance learning. They also kept schools closed for a long time, longer. So they're seeing enormous losses. In the world's poorest countries, for example, in supsaharin africa, those places did a better job than many middlingcome regions of opening schools reasonably swiftly after pandemic.
