The libertarian view of rights is that they are inalienable, and you cannot legitimately transfer them to another person. This idea has been criticized by people like Sam Freeman who say it's a new feudalism. But Spooner never really gives us much of an argument here for why a certain right should be inalienable,. It's just kind of an assertion.
