The Last Leg of the Strait of Magellan

The negotiation of the strait is considered by many to be the single greatest feat in maritime exploration history. Most men would have turned back due to the ordeals they had endured, but not Magellan. The Armada de Maluca exited the strait's western mouth into the peaceful sea on November 28, 1520. It took them 38 days to transverse the strait and reach the Pacific Ocean.
