Cant saw the pull of two opposing directions. Leibnitz thought you could figure out the structure of the world just using reason. And those philosophers like locke and berkeley and hume, who think that experience is much more important. Cant came in and he saw both sides exactly. In some he wants to give you the best of both sides.
