The Entropy of a Black Hole
In the 19 seventies, stephen hawking and some friends of his noticed that there was an analogy between the behaviour of black holes and the laws of thermo dynamics. We can tell you very accurately how much entropy is in a black hole, just as we can tell you the entropy of a cup of coffee. There are different ways that we represent time in space, ana, analogically. And so whatever our metaphor are, it's hard for us to break free of them. I wonder if you know part of the issue is that we don't have good visualization tools for that.
