Is There a Backlash Against Aging Research?

I feel like there's a lot of backlash against aging or maybe controversy around it. I think there's a tendency to prefer the natural, and natural is basically defined as the technology that our grandparents used. It's really just whatever nostalgic view we had about our recent ancestors. A third reason is they might be worried about overpopulation or jobs for young people.
