The History of Stonehenge
The Sarsen stones are the really large light coloured stones that you think of when you think of Stonehenge. The other type of stone at Stonehenge is called the Blue Stones, it's not a technical geological term but we nickname them the Blue Stones. Those pillar-like stones are from the Priscelli Hills in southwest Wales in Pembrokeshi and have been known for 100 years or so.
