Hannah: A Thematic Character
Hannah never actually seems that conflicted or unhappy about any of her actions. She's not an antagonist in the sense that she's not like fighting with the hero for the goal of the thing. The design of Hannah is something thematic, which is about this like pain is determinism kind of thing without locking her into a traditional villain role. No one is just evil because they want to be. Everyone is reacting to their own hurts and wounds. The past shapes you in everything that happened.
