Introduction

Professor Mina Rossis is the author of Gender in Southeast Asia, published by King Richard University Press in 2022. The book examines how religion and the four retired the government's advanced and police gender constructs as well as the various ways in which citizens contest and resist these constructs. Nicole Grato: I'd like to begin the interview by picking up on how you framed the book. You described Southeast Asia a fertile place for analyzing gender differences that both defy and modify dominant paradigms that emanate from the Western world.
