Security engineers need to know how to code, period. We interview, we have a coding portionate of an interview. Its language agnostic. Could be piton, could be golang, et cetera. And the reason for that is exactly what we've been talking about, automation. In order to succeed in the roll, a security engineer will need to partake in building automation and automated analysis. A large piece of our everyday work flow involves in coding analytical steps, analytical logic in code - so that your work can be triaged and can be absorbed by others on the team. So the coding skill is an everyday, a part of what will make you a successful engineer on this
