Admiral calder was one of the most hated in britain. He had done exactly what the royal navy had asked of him and won a minor victory, but it ruined his career. The combined fleet couldn't return to acaruna. It was too small for this huge force. Ferol was still guarded by calder's squadron which would probably make them fight to enter the port. And so the combined fleet would sail hundreds of miles south to the bigger and more lightly guarded port of cadis in southern spain.
