How Am I to Pray Always?
Historically, these two passages have motivated a lot of reflection. And we see especially the early christian ascetics trying to live a life of constant prayer. This is one of the reasons that drove the hermits and monks out into the desert. But saint augustine gives a slightly different interpretation on this in his commentary on psalm 38. He has some interesting things to say about prayer.
