"He wasn't sleeping, he was just fighting it you could see," she says. "No one knew why and then I was able to ask him what do you understand of what's going on?" He told her that he had heard a doctor say his death would be 'a very peaceful death' The social worker encouraged medical team to reassure him about the end stage of his life. She will never forget this young man or his unique situation.
