Is There a Nationalized Universal Health Service?
There were no legisive proposals in the tertes for this. It was the sjust the idea growing and you now, we mentioned some of the things that hve finally kicked it into life - which did include beverage. The 19 thirties were a time of incredible ctions in terms of what both central government could do, but also what local government could do. Sad we got very successful medical officers of health who had these many empires. They were in charge of really large municipal hospitals, preventative services, s, clinics, welfare services. That was not within the control of national government. And i think that was a politically difficult situation to manage.
