Introduction
Dr. Pusco is an Associate Professor of Radiology at the Cleveland Clinic. BPH benign prostatic hypertrophy refers to the proliferation of glandular epithelial tissue, smooth muscle and connective tissue. It's a combination of these three components that lead to the enlargement of the transition zone of the prostate. By the age of 60, 60% of men will have it; by the age of 80, 80% ofMen will have this condition.
