The Miscalculation of Benjamin Netanyahu
Benjamin Netanyahu has spent more time as Israel's Prime Minister than anyone else and dominated the country's politics for almost three decades. The fact that he doesn't seem to have made much of an effort to sell this has been mystifying to many. There are two explanations, one is that he didn't really want this and it was something fast to define him by the more radical elements of his coalition but I think there's a better explanation that Netanyahu until now never showed much of an interesting interest in constitutional affairs.
