The Rise and Fall of Pope Leo IV

Pirates attacked Saint Peter's in 846. Pope Leo IV said, build a wall to keep the pirates out. They did build the wall. It was wrapped up in around 1852. This is not like a decorative picket fence. When this enclosed the whole area, when the wall was complete, they called it Leo nine city.
