The Importance of a Change Log in GitHub
Scriv doesn't have an opinions about the versions, it doesn't update your version number. And there's a third command for scriv called Github release. People seem to want github releases because they're duplicative of information elsewhere. The idea that you've got a change log and it's not a file that I can read on disk when I clone your repo just seems really strange to me. That is incredibly important information about the history of your project. Why wouldn't you want it in a file in your project?
