It's always great to have a portfolio ready to go regardless of if you're actively job searching or not. You never know what opportunities are going to fall into your lap. This can often help designers overcome that all too common imposter syndrome. When you can truly look back and see the depth of what you did, it makes you more confident in yourself as a designer.
