The air is thick with love, and all of its attendant affiliations and intimacies and obligations. So I just wanted to couch everything we'll do moving forward in that spirit. In your staggering version of Adorno's method of negative dialectics, you articulate a set of oppositions that the paintings rock back and forth between. They're not quite entinemies as such, but rather stations along some kind of continuum or spectrum. And they run a list that goes something like this: memory and forgetting, representation and erasure, photography and painting.
