The Importance of Competing Interests in Open AI
I'm very confident that we're making fast progress on the new ideas and certainly on kind of the policy and safety work. But I think the important thing as well is it's not just a dollar sum. It's more that there's some undiscovered capabilities that need to be learned for sure. Sometimes basic science just requires someone to be able to ask the question and just spend their time scratching their forehead and throwing things up on a whiteboard. Well, it seems like we're doing okay at that. We really try to build an organization that supports that.
