The Importance of Studying End Game Positions

I don't think I needed to study Dredski's endgame manual. For example, in Smis Love's NBA Virtuoso book, he just shows you a game where he drew it. And that would have been enough. If you don't use it on a regular basis, it's not going to be imprinted in your brain. There are so many end game positions, Bishop and Knight, mate, Lucina, Philador, where you then forget about it.
