How Long Do I Need to Be in That Zone Two?
When the muscle environment becomes acidic, would that predispose that muscle area to start cramping? The body much more prefers an alkaline environment. You can do 100% in zone two but if you want to increase your running proficiency, probably once a week, you are going to want to do something up at a little higher level. But then again, always have that recovery zone two work to keep those mitochondria robust and growing.
