Aristotle and Thales' Hypotheses

Thales was the first person we know of to set forth hypotheses that didn't require a special relationship with beings beyond this world to understand and verify. In pedocles' explanation of the assembling and separating of these elements, certain realities must be acknowledged. All material bodies are formed by particles of one element interpenetrating into particles of another element via these pores in such a way that the size of the pores determines the nature of the material body.
