The Plasticity of Sex

The idea that gender is fundamentally plastic, that it has some capacity to grow at least and change at least early on in life. That sense of psychological self is actually coded as white. And this is really critical because doctors will show up and be like, you're abnormal, but the good news is you're white. So your gender can be made normal. It really carries this loaded history where gender's plasticity was racialized white historically.
