The hope is that those transferred anna bodies will help eliminate the virus faster. Each patient receives approximately one unit, which is about 200 millileters of fluid. How many anta bodies are are necessary for optimal treatment is still something we need to figure out. One donor should be capable of providing sufficient plasma for two to three patients. And would you just inject it into the patient once, or keep doing that over several days?
