The Lack of Balance in China's Economy
Many parts of China's economy have been working. But global demand is drying up and Chinese consumers seem to be in no rush to start spending again either. Part of the reason for that, experts say, has been a lack of balance in China's economy. The stock market is dominated or had been dominated by the state. You can't really move your money overseas very easily so housing became an investment as well.
