Thomas Seabock came up with the idea for a nuclear priesthood. Stanislaw Lem suggested putting satellites into orbit that would transmit information about the site to the Earth at intermittent periods. Writer Francois Bastide and semiotician Paolo Fabri suggested that cats could be bred whose skin colour changes when exposed to radiation, thereby making them radiation detectors. And my absolute favourite are Ray cats. The solution is cats. It always was.
