The Importance of Band in Student Affairs

Band is such an identity that you just automatically have so much in common. I think we're very accepting of other identities because we just, we speak the same language right away. We have so many shared experiences either directly or like where we can just relate with one another. When a fellow band member tells you something that is something personal or maybe even an identity you haven't encountered before I don't feel like there's judgment and there's not it doesn't negatively impact anything if anything it just opens your heart and mind even more. It really just kind of transcends a lot of things that might in other spaces be hard differences to overcome.
