The Bible is a very complex book in which many different traditions are united. I could recommend reading studying Franz Rözentweig, but what he tried to do is to combine teleology with eternity - it seems contradictory. Derrida speaks about a future which is always yet to come, but which can never be identified with something present. And if you reread Derrida, he speaks about it in the same way, albeit that Derrida pretends to be secularized and not having to do anything with religious Jewish tradition as RöZentweig claims,.
