There's this kind of pattern of customs in south east asia and also in the netherlands, of women managing a lot of the affairs of a harbor town. And some of these women who either go or are sent to batavia, a lot of them do the same thing,. They maybe make some money, and they come out of it wealthier than they were before. But having a wife is really he secceeding the commercial world ease. It bring ou more contracts, more capital. The people who are married an have a like of over the people who are single in that regard but very ijentivly teti like that.
