Alec's Statement to the FBI
In his statement, Alec says that he did not walk down there with them. Instead, he stayed back, watched a little TV, and eventually fell asleep on the couch. He said it was odd that Maggie mentioned possibly going with him, but because she usually didn't go, it wasn't all that strange to him to not get a response from her. And before leaving Mozell, phone records indicate that Alec attempted to call Maggie at 904 PM which aligns with what he told investigators.
